Front Panel Overview & Channel Selection
The Siglent SDG1032X Plus features two independent output channels capable of generating signals up to 30 MHz.
- Touchscreen & Softkeys: Parameters can be adjusted by tapping the touchscreen interface directly or pressing the corresponding gray softkey buttons underneath the screen display.
- Rotary Knob & Keypad: Use the main rotary knob for coarse/fine parameter tuning, or use the numeric keypad to enter exact values directly.
- Output Buttons: Illuminated channel buttons (CH1 / CH2) above the physical BNC connectors enable or disable signal output.
Turn on the SDG1032X Plus using the power button in the bottom-left corner.
Select CH1 or CH2 on the main display screen.
Press Waveforms or tap the waveform icon to choose your desired signal shape:
- Sine: Standard continuous AC signal.
- Square: Fast rise-time digital or pulse testing wave.
- Ramp / Triangle: Linear voltage sweep wave.
- Pulse: Configurable pulse width and edge-time wave.
Adjust parameters using the bottom menu softkeys:
- Frequency / Period: Set the repetition rate (e.g.,
5 Hz, 1 kHz, 10 MHz). - Amplitude / High Level: Set peak-to-peak voltage ($V_{pp}$) or maximum voltage level.
- Offset / Low Level: Set the DC bias offset above or below zero volts.
- Phase: Adjust the starting phase angle relative to CH2.
Setting Output Load Impedance
The Output Load setting dictates how the internal display calculates voltage delivery. Misconfiguring this parameter is the primary cause of $2\times$ amplitude measurement errors.

How to change Load Impedance:
- Press the Utility button on the front panel.
- Tap CH1 Setting (or CH2 Setting) $\rightarrow$ Output Load.
- Toggle between High-Z and 50 Ω.
- Press the illuminated CH1 Output button above the BNC output connector to turn the signal ON.
